The landmark BBC headquarters was
one of the first buildings to be developed at Pacific Quay, while
the new pontoon provides a valuable public amenity.
A variety of projects now ensure that the area is a more attractive place in which to live and work.
The redevelopment of Pacific
Quay has meant new developments on both sides of the river,
ensuring that local people, workers and visitors to this premier
riverside location can fully enjoy the waterfront.
Between 2003 and 2014 Clyde Waterfront was a strategic
partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish
Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire
Councils. Its purpose was to promote the economic, social and
environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from
Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
