The 12.500 seater National Arena will be
completed for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The Scottish Exhibition and Conference
Centre (SECC) is Scotland's national venue for public
events and the UK's largest integrated exhibition and
conference centre, generating £114 million annually and supporting
3,500 jobs.
Plans are now underway to expand the site by creating a 12,500 seat arena - the only
one of its scale in the UK.
Other recent leisure developments include a new casino,
hotel and cinema complex at Springfield Quay.
