A number of Clyde Waterfront's prominent projects will be completed during 2012.

A new £33m school will provide modern facilities for pupils from Erskine and the surrounding area.  Build work is on schedule and the new school will be ready for use in August 2012.

Clydebank Town Hall

The £3.3m refurbishment of Clydebank Town Hall will be completed in 2012. The bronze statue of Mercury - which toppled from the top of the Town Hall clock during a fierce storm in January 1968 - is to take pride of place in the new lobby.

Well under way...

Major long-term projects will continue to take shape during year, contributing to the regeneration of the whole area.

Scottish Hydro Arena

Created by world-renowned architects Foster and Partners, who also designed the SECC's Clyde Auditorium, Scotland's new national arena will seat 12,000 and will be the largest entertainments venue in Scotland. The £120 million development is due to complete in 2013, ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

South Glasgow Hospital

The South Glasgow Hospital development involves the expansion of one hospital and the construction of two new hospitals to create one of the largest hospital complexes in Europe. The £842 million project is due for completion in 2015.

Ferry Village

This major housing development between Renfrew and Braehead continues to grow. Housebuilders include Miller, Redrow, Wimpey, McCarthy & Stone, Sovereign Fairbriar and Best Developments.

Lomondgate Residential

House building is now well underway at this location on the edge of Dumbarton, close to Loch Lomond. Walker, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey are all onsite.

Getting started this year...

Projects which will get underway in the course of this year along the waterfront.
