Location:

Old Kilpatrick to Dumbarton, Lomondgate

Description:

The Walker Group, in partnership with other leading house builders, is creating a new community on the edge of Dumbarton.

With a innovatively designed streetscape, the development will create over 300 new homes. Styles will range from 2 bed terraced properties to 5 bed family homes.

The residential element of Lomondgate spans a total 30 acres on a site with an outstanding location, close to Loch Lomond and within easy reach of Glasgow.

Current status:

The main infrastructure  work was completed September 2008. Development work on the site will be phased to provide a range of housing from 2 bed terrace and semi detached houses up to 4 and 5 bed detached villas.

Walker Group started on site early in 2011 to create 109 new homes, including two, three, four and five bedroom houses on an 11.5 acre site.

Persimmon Homes are moving ahead with plans to build 120 properties on an 8.5 acre site on the site which is set in one of the most scenic parts of the world.

Both builders have released property for sale.

In August 2011 Walker Group announced the conditional sale of a further 12 acres of land. Following a succesful planning application, Taylor Wimpey has now acquired the land and has started work.

Around 100 houses are now complete on the site (September 2012).
