Description

Central Govan is the historic heart of the Govan community.

Over a number of decades, the area has declined both economically and physically. The Central Govan action plan has been developed by a partnership of public agencies working closely with the community.

The plan aims to turn around the heart of Govan through investment in the streets and buildings. It aims to create new business and commercial space, and new mixed tenure residential development, in keeping with the areas traditional tenemental design and the development of Govan’s waterfront at Water Row.

Govan Portal project is the first action plan project to start on site.
