Description:

Fairfield Farm is a Healthy Living Community project situated in Elder Park, Linthouse, Glasgow.

The project creates a new entrance into the park via the hard landscaped farmyard designed to accommodate markets and events. the building is being developed to provide education, therapy, decorative and food production gardens, cafe, meeting rooms, Open Museum space, small workshops for community/artisan use, teaching kitchen and secluded roof garden for further garden education and therapy.

The existing derelict B-listed Farmhouse (c. 1850) is to be consolidated, restored and altered internally to become the focus of the project, and the new development will be a fusion of old and new.

A new ebonised timber clad outhouse forms the fourth side of the new farmyard, and will be a place of industry and creativity, containing the workshops, teaching kitchen and roof garden.
