A vacant warehouse in Thurso Street has been demolished to make
way for a new student residence.
The student accommodation, which is now complete, provides 402
units, with an ideal location, close to Glasgow University and the
The building has an attractive frontage onto Thurso street with
an open reception and administration area on the ground floor. A
pend leads through to an attractive courtyard with access to all
the student accommodation via secure lifts and stairwells.
The principle common room is located at the back of the building
with a raised deck overlooking the river.
The building is complete.
Between 2003 and 2014 Clyde Waterfront was a strategic
partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish
Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire
Councils. Its purpose was to promote the economic, social and
environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from
Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
