Description:

This property development will comprise three separate buildings, set around a new public square and fronting onto York Street and James Watt Street.

The commercial property development is in the heart of Glasgow's busy International Financial Services District (IFSD) and numerous shopping, business and leisure amenities are nearby.

The first two sections of the development will comprise two Grade A office buildings totalling around 226,500 sq ft.The third will house a 6-storey 152-bedroom hotel. In addition, there will be 20,182 sq ft of ground floor retail and leisure space across all three buildings, with the potential for health club and conference facilities.

A glazed courtyard will provide an open meeting area for the Broomielaw area, allowing workers, residents and visitors to meet and relax. Pedestrian access through the area will be upgraded.

 

Current status:

Outline planning consent approved October 2009.  Detailed approval for Atlantic Square Building 1.

The site's new owners Taylor Clark are currently looking at alternative plans for the development of the site to those outlined above.  In the meantime, however, a temporary Planning Consent has been given for an extension to the existing car park to provide 120 spaces.
