Description:
This development has created a 10-acre modern, purpose-built boatyard on the finger pier at Rothesay Dock East, Clydebank.
Regeneration of redundant dockland has provided the only boatyard on the upper Clyde. It is expected to attract a range of marine services, creating a commercial community beneficial to both occupiers and customers.
Around 100 houses are planned on the site together with leisure and business use.
Current status:
The first phase is complete. This includes a 75-tonne boat hoist, work and storage space. Initial occupiers are in place and additional facilities will be added in the next 1 - 3 years, to reflect demand. Further development is planned including 100 houses, retail and business use.
