An exciting new website dedicated to promoting the regeneration of Govan has launched.
The Get into Govan
website provides details of the activity undertaken by Central
Govan Action Plan (CGAP) & the Govan Cross Townscape Heritage
Initiative (GCTHI) to create an attractive, vibrant and prosperous
future for the area. It also holds information on the history of
Govan and local visitor attractions, as well as advertising events
and opportunities for everyone to get involved in the regeneration
process.
It is hoped that the website will help encourage more people to
live, work and visit Govan and that it will help change negative
perceptions about the area by promoting the many positive aspects
of this famous riverside community.
The site contains all the latest news about Govan's physical
regeneration as well as up and coming events. The long term aim is
to make 'Get into Govan' a community resource and a one-stop-shop
for all things Govan.
Just now a new
Winter Warmer lecture series is being promoted on the site with
the first event on 22 January 2013..
