Glasgow's newest property icon, The Hub at Pacific Quay, has celebrated its first anniversary by announcing a new tenant.
Having completed and opened its doors on 15 February 2009, The
Hub - which was 50% full just months after opening - has just
announced a new tenant: design firm RHA, which has taken circa 500
ft² on the building's first floor.
RHA Design will take occupancy on The Hub's first
anniversary.
Donny McKinnon, director of The Hub's developer, Downtown Space,
commented: "It's fantastic to be able to celebrate the Hub's first
year by announcing a new tenant.
"We've had a great year at The Hub and seem to have bucked the
trend of the economic downturn, as we are still seeing a high level
of interest which continues to convert into new tenants.
"To start 2010 in this way is superb and underlines the ongoing
spirit of optimism that we have always felt at The Hub, despite the
downturn. We offer a completely different proposition here, by
having created a thriving new centre of excellence, and this
continues to appeal to Scotland's flourishing creative sector."
The Hub is a vibrant, 'seriously creative' community on the
banks of the regenerated River Clyde, which hosts some of the
country's most cutting-edge organisations, from the Digital Design
Studio to Shed Media.
Offering flexible office units from 127 ft² upwards - as well as
flexible leases that will suit both larger companies and individual
operators - The Hub's ethos is all about building a creative
community at the heart of the new Digital Media Quarter.
Businesses can be up and running at The Hub, which is a joint
venture with Helical Bar, within just 48 hours of signing a lease.
The Hub also has a cafe bar, welcoming both tenants and staff from
other nearby buildings as well as visitors to Pacific Quay; whilst
the Hubsquare is used to host exhibitions and events.
