Choice Hotels Europe, one of Europe's largest hotel companies
with more than 350 hotels across 14 countries, has announced that
it will be opening its first Sleep Inn hotel in Scotland at
Braehead, Renfrewshire.
The hotel is being developed by Heritage London and Hanover UK
Ltd., who are developing a number of Sleep Inns across the UK and
have purchased a prominent site adjacent to the M8 motorway and
near IKEA for the Sleep Inn.
Sleep Inn Braehead will be the first hotel to serve the rapidly
growing Braehead regeneration area, which comprises business,
leisure and residential development, and the Braehead Shopping
Centre. Around £500m has been invested in Braehead by the
private sector and some 4300 people are currently employed on
site.
Sleep Inn Braehead will have around 90 bedrooms, a restaurant, a
bar, meeting rooms and extensive parking. Representing an
investment in excess of £6m, the new hotel will create 35 new full
and part-time jobs with rooms priced at a highly competitive £55-65
per night. Construction will start shortly and is due
to be completed in August 2007.

sure that Sleep Inn will be very successful".
