The Tobacco Lords legacy

To inform and educate children about local history and its implications by researching the Tobacco Lords and the legacy left from that era.  This topic will allow learners to learn about the power and wealth of the tobacco lords, how they became wealthy and what they did with their money. Learners also have the opportunity to investigate the buildings that were built by these people and the street names that are linked to that time and discover what evidence of that time can still be found along the Clydeside.
