Symbols

Learners explore the differences between, and the uses for, signs and symbols used and cognitive skills are developed through asking questions and sourcing answers through research. Learners research the symbolism used by the six main world religions and produce a presentation or display of the information that they have gathered about how this information/knowledge is useful in developing knowledge and understanding of different beliefs and cultures found in society. The project could easily be adapted to explore various symbols found in just one religious tradition.
