Transport

Plans to improve the transport links along the Clyde are crucial to the success of the whole Clyde Waterfront project and will have a direct benefit on local communities. By creating sustainable links - including bridges across the river - the full effects of the River Clyde's regeneration can be enjoyed and shared by everyone.

An important principle is that existing neighbourhoods, such as Govan, Renfrew and Clydebank, are effectively connected to the new business locations. Transport and infrastrastructure connects people with jobs, and plans have been coordinated along the 20km of the Clyde Waterfront to maximise the benefits.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
