Clyde Waterfront Education

Glasgow River Festival 2007

Tourism & leisure

Tourism is important to the development of Clyde Waterfront. The waterfront is a place people will want to visit from near and far. New attractions like the Riverside Museum will add to existing venues such as the Glasgow Science Centre. Xscape already provides a huge range of leisure facilities in one complex at Renfrew Riverside. New eating places and hotels are planned to accommodate the growing number of visitors. Riverfront walkways are being created and improved to make the waterfront a more attractive place to walk and cycle.

With Glasgow growing in popularity as an international tourist destination, this theme includes marketing Glasgow as a tourist destination and developing translation skills in order to communicate successfully in different settings.
