Description
Scotland's biggest casino has now opened at Springfield Quay in Glasgow.
The venue, owned by Las Vegas-based gambling giant Harrah's, is the sixth casino in the city and will employ around 180 staff.
London Clubs International (LCI), the UK arm of Harrah's, spent £10m building the Springfield Quay complex and £15m fitting it out, including luxury furnishings, artwork and decor.
Alea Glasgow is home to elegant restaurants, a unique entertainment venue, stylish bars and an ultra-modern casino, all in a stunning riverside setting, enjoying unrivalled panoramic views over the city and its landmarks from East to West.
Springfield Quay is a leisure park on the south bank of the Clyde and is located less than one mile south west of the City Centre. It includes a multiplex cinema, bingo hall, ten-pin bowling alley and restaurants lying on the south bank of the river adjacent to the M8's Kingston Bridge.
