Description

This project involves the development of a pedestrian and cycle footbridge with pontoons to connect the Clyde walkway on the north bank to the south bank of the River Clyde at Springfield and Anderston Quays and to create river stops at transport nodes.

The Anderston Quay location is next to a proposed Clyde Fastlink stop.

Cost

Estimated £150,000

Current status

A feasibility study has been conducted into the viability of the scheme.

Timescale

Feasibility study complete. No decision on implementation timescale.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
