Description

This development will take the place of plans for a super casino and is a response to strong demand for good quality city centre hotel accommodation.

Planning permission has been granted for a three or four star hotel with 150 bedrooms over 10 floors.

Detailed plans have since been lodged with Glasgow City Council for an extra 29 bedrooms. A neighbouring multi-storey car park with 1600 spaces is also planned.

The hotel will sit next to the proposed £66 million Scottish National Arena being built in time for the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

Current status

Outline planning consent has been obtained for the overall scheme with detailed consent obtained for the multi-storey car park.

The site is currently being marketed by Scottish Enterprise.
