Renfrew Riverside & Scotstoun, Braehead
The award winning Xscape concept comes to the Clyde Waterfront,
with the development of a new landmark building alongside the
Braehead shopping centre, retail park and leisure facilities.
As well as a real snow slope, Xscape includes an Odeon multiplex
cinema, indoor bowling, two climbing walls, an aerial assault
course, bars, restaurants and shops.
Xscape expects to attract 3 million visitors a year and
will employ around 800 staff.
Construction work began in November 2004 and completed in March
2006 with the opening of the cinema, fun station and various

Between 2003 and 2014 Clyde Waterfront was a strategic
partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish
Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire
Councils. Its purpose was to promote the economic, social and
environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from
Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
