Greater Govan & Glasgow Harbour, WhiteInch
A new motorcar complex comprising three car showrooms - Ford,
Mazda and 'Prestige and Performance' - is being developed
in this vacant brownfield site.
In addition, a motorstore for used cars and an after-sales
service department is included in the development. The building has
been designed to replace MacHargs existing showroom complex
which is being re-developed as part of the Glasgow Harbour initiative.
Work is completed; Machargs opened in July 2006.
Between 2003 and 2014 Clyde Waterfront was a strategic
partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish
Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire
Councils. Its purpose was to promote the economic, social and
environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from
Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
