Pacific Quay & SECC – the global waterfront

This area houses some of Scotland’s most important assets along the River Clyde, attracting thousands of visitors every week. The Glasgow Science Centre, IMAX, the SECC, Pacific Quay and the Armadillo are all located here, and work is now underway to develop better links with the nearby city centre and surrounding communities.

A new 12,500 seater arena will be built at the SECC, a major element in the city's successful bid to host the 2014 Commonwealth games. A new bridge between the Graving Docks and Pacific Quay, the former garden festival site, is also proposed and BBC Scotland has completed a hi-tech HQ along the waterfront at Pacific Quay.
