28 Jul 2011

Time: 11am - 5pm

Venue: The Pearce Institute & venues throughout Govan

The Pearce Institute 840-860 Govan Road Govan Glasgow, G51 3UU

If you're looking for something to do on Saturday 30th July, why not head along to the Pearce Institute in Govan for the 'Bringing Govan Together' community event.

An open-top tour bus will take passengers on free "mystery" tours of Govan where you can learn about places around Govan, share stories with other passengers and stop off at places of interest.

Buses leave the Pearce Institute on the hour and the last bus is at 4 pm.

At the Pearce Institure, join others for a cuppa and a chat about the way things were or the way things could be. Soup, home baking and crafts will be available and there will be film showings, poetry and hand massages available.

There will be activities taking place at The Leg Up community garden at Elder Park and GalGael's doors will also be open.

Kids welcome.

Govan Together is a project of the new Govan Folk University and a partnership involving the Pearce Institute, GalGael, Fablevision, Centre for Human Ecology, Leg Up Community Garden and Govan and Linthouse Parish Church. The project is funded by the Climate Challenge Fund.
