Planning consent at Skypark

Planning has been approved for a new 135,000 sq ft speculative office development at the Skypark business campus in Glasgow.

Sheppard Robson Architects have received planning consent from Glasgow City Council to build a 135,000sq/ft office development at the Skypark business park, although construction will not start without a 'substantial' pre-let.

Moorfield Real Estate Fund II (MREFII), Moorfield Group and Glasgow-based joint venture partner Resonance Capital are leading The Azure Building development at the Finnieston business park.
Funding for the development will come from "Moorfield Group's substantial resources".
No date has been set for work to begin on the development, with the backers stating subject to pre-let take-up, completion is expected by the third quarter of 2015.
A construction firm for the project has yet to be appointed.
