Strathclyde Pension Fund, which administers Glasgow City Council's pension fund are to move into space in the newly completed Capella building on the banks of the Clyde.
Strathclyde Pension Fund, which is presently based in Charlotte
House in Queen Street, will transfer to the Capella Building in
York Street in the heart of the International Financial Services
District.
Council bosses say the lease on the present "poor quality" 1960s
pension HQ, which also houses City Assessor staff, runs out in June
next year.
Instead of renewing it, they have negotiated a 15-year deal on
the Clydeside building at an annual rent of almost £283,000.
A report to councillors states: "Due to the reduction in space
and the use of more modern, efficient space, the occupancy costs
for the Capella Building over the term of the lease are lower than
for the current building."
