Description

As part of its key objective to make the area better connected for local people and businesses, Clydebank Re-built developed a proposal for an integrated bus-rail-taxi transport hub focussed on the locale around Chalmers Street and Clydebank Central rail station.

This initiative will involve opening up both Hume Street and Alexander Street to Dumbarton Road, with Chalmers Street eventually having a one-way system for buses. There will also be a new lift and  covered ramp system to access the high-level rail station.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is currently reviewing the Clydebank Re-built proposal.
