Description

Clydebank Re-built launched an architectural design competition in September 2006 through the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) to secure a design to replace the existing bridge canopy crossing the Forth and Clyde Canal in Clydebank Town Centre. This competition, which was open to Chartered Architects, was won by Glasgow Architect Neil McLean of RMJM Architects.

The new canopy, which is designed as a swan in flight will be a feature in the eventual link up of the town centre with the regenerated Queens Quay, the former John Brown shipyards site.
