Glasgow Bridge aka Jamaica Bridge

History of Clyde bridges

This lesson will allow pupils to study the bridges that span the Clyde in the timed order in which they were built, and investigate the reasons behind each construction.  A display of work for peers to be developed for school use.  Extension work to prepare an exhibition of results, combined with a presentation to parents at parents evening.

• Greater depth of understanding the reasons why bridges were built in the past
• Provided a display of findings for school viewing
