Description

With Glasgow Harbour already established as a popular place to live, plans are developing to create Glasgow’s newest quality retail and leisure destination, with a range of stores large and small, all of the highest standards and designed to suit a city lifestyle.

Just like Glasgow Harbour itself, plans for the leisure district covers all aspects of life. So there will be places to eat and drink, relax,  meet friends and entertain clients. Hotels will also be included in the development.

Other facilities, such as the Riverside Museum and the Tall Ship, will make Glasgow Harbour the ideal location for a day out, whether you live in Glasgow or are a visitor to the city.

A key element in the Glasgow Harbour development is the outdoors. Around 50 acres of parkland and 3km of riverside walkways and cyclepaths are being provided to enable visitors and residents to enjoy the outdoors in the heart of the city.

Glasgow Harbour is a 130-acre, high-quality mixed-use development on the west end of Glasgow waterfront.  It is one of the flagship projects of the Clyde waterfront regeneration. The regeneration of this extensive brownfield site, at an estimated cost of £1.2 billion has hugely beneficial economic, tourist and social implications for both Glasgow and Scotland as a whole.

Cost

Current estimate of £1.2 billion for Glasgow Harbour phase 1, including housing, commercial, retail and infrastructure.
