Glasgow Road phase 1 and 2
Location
Clydebank & Erskine, Queens Quay
Description
Clydebank Re-built has developed a programme of public realm works to upgrade the entry points and main approach roads into Clydebank and its riverside development areas.
The work is intended to highlight the regeneration process underway in the town and to signal a new, confident Clydebank.
Phase 1 and 2 of the work has led to the transformation of the central reservation along Glasgow Road in Clydebank from the junction with North Elgin Street eastwards to that with Mill Road, at the boundary with Glasgow City.
Phase 1 also incorporated the upgrading on the prominent public open space Solidarity Plaza opposite Clydebank Town Hall.
New street lighting has been installed along the Glasgow Road / Dumbarton Road corridor between the junction of Beardmore Road and Mill Street.
