Description

This scheme is designed to complement and enhance the commercial, leisure and residential developments underway in the International Financial Services District (IFSD).

The project includes the use of high quality natural stone materials, bespoke stainless steel street furniture and feature lighting schemes.

In addition, a new high quality pontoon in the River Clyde has been introduced, opposite the bottom of York Street. Elements of public art and descriptive signage have been added as part of the scheme.

£7.76 million

Current status

Completed spring 2006. The pontoon works are also complete.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
