Description

Three prominent gable ends which can be seen from the busy route through the Clyde Tunnel have been revitalised with artwork  created by local people and Artists.

Two of the designs were created through local competitions and the third design was developed with local primary schools, St Jeromes and Elderpark Primary by Artist Geraldine Greene as part of The Hold your Breath Project to revitalise the Clyde Tunnel.

Gable 1: A clever optical illusion photograph of a street in Grenwich Village in New York, another community born on the banks of a main city river. The design is by local man, Hugh Donaghy.

Gable 2. The Berryknowes Centre in Cardonald designed a semi abstract design incorporating local attractions such as the LUV Cafe in Linthouse, Elderpark and the local shops.

Gable 3. Artist Geralding Greene worked with Elderpark and St Jeromes Primary Schools to design a gable end as if it still had windows and people looking out of them. Commission by Hold Your Breath Project.
