Description

The project involves building a state of the art rowing centre for rowing clubs, universities and schools in Glasgow.

The new rowing facility will replace the two existing boathouses on Glasgow Green which have fallen into disrepair. The west boathouse is a listed building.

Cost

£3 million +

Current status

A feasibility study has been commissioned and was completed in 2007, with presentations made to Glasgow City Council and other interested parties in January 2008.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
