Description

Ideally situated between Glasgow’s central business district and the new International Financial Services District at Broomielaw, Clydesdale Bank Exchange, developed by CALA Properties, is one of Glasgow’s most successful speculative commercial property developments in recent years and is an impressive addition to the city.

The building provides 96,500ft² of offices and 10,000ft² of ground floor retail space. Since its completion in 2004, interest in the development has been strong with a number of high-profile tenants locating to the building.

Cost

£30 million

Current status

The first tenants were consultants and actuaries Hymans Robertson whose Scottish Headquarters occupy two floors (26,250ft²). In spring 2005 Clydesdale Bank located their Financial Solutions Centre over three floors (36,649ft²).
In Autumn 2005, the Weir Group announced the relocation of around 30 executive and support staff from its site in Cathcart, Glasgow, to the 4th floor of the building. Interest in the one remaining floor is strong.
