Description

This is a 3.6 hectare (9 acre) urban business park, providing 500,000 ft² of office space and other facilities with approximately 1000 car parking spaces.

Phase 1 of the development on the site of the former headquarters of the Scottish Daily Record, was completed in 1998.

Phase 2, at 2 Central Quay, was completed in 2002 and comprises new offices which have been leased to ACCA, NHS Education & GE.

Planning permission was given in February 2007 for Phase 3 of the development which will see a new headquarters building, a further office building and a hotel. The buildings will be arranged around a central landscaped area which will link to Anderston Quay and the waterfront.

Akeler who developed phases 1 and 2 has now been integrated into Goodman who will take forward future phases of the development.

£80 million

Current status

Phase 1 and Phase 2 are complete. Planning permission has been given for phase 3, 3-5 Central Quay, with building commencing in 2009.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
