Leisure projects in Glasgow City Centre

The closeness of the riverfront to Glasgow's city centre provides significant opportunities for leisure and tourism.

Custom House Quay is one of several projects that will help to link the main shopping streets of the city centre with the river as a growing leisure and tourist destination with designer shops, stylish restaurants and café bars along the waterfront.

Nearby the Briggait redevelopment in the Merchant City is being redeveloped into a haven for arts workshops and studios.

Across the river, venues such as the Glasgow Science Centre, the Glasgow  Tower and the Renfrew Ferry, are also busy tourist destinations.
