Urban renewal project

This ambitious urban renewal project is already well underway. The transformation is gaining momentum and already there are clear signs of the physical and economic transformation that can put the River Clyde back at the heart of Scotland.

From Glasgow Green to Dumbarton, a huge number and variety of exciting developments are planned, underway or completed along the riverfront.

More than 700,000 m2 of space has been earmarked for business, leisure, residential, retail and educational purposes, with 260,000m2 of new office and commercial space created by 2008.

New buildings are being constructed, and businesses and people are moving in, as the drive to make the watefront a vibrant, thriving area gathers pace.

This section contains details of some of the key developments in our target areas for urban renewal along the river.
