Description
Plans are being developed to demolish the existing Holiday Inn in Bothwell Street, and build a brand new 4 star hotel with 300 bedrooms. The new building will incorporate a function suite for 1000 people, health and fitness facilities and a dedicated conference centre, providing facilities at the top end of the 4 star market.
In addition to the new Holiday Inn it is proposed to build a new Express by Holiday Inn providing approximately 275 bedrooms. Together with an office development of approximately 200,000 sq. ft. the project would create a unique urban Plaza in the heart of Glasgow’s thriving city centre. The European Development Company (Hotels) Ltd, who own the hotel, plan to name the development “Bothwell Plaza”.
