Airtricity has announced that it is supplying its first gas customer in Ireland in the commercial sector- The Mater Private Hospital.

At the Inaugural Green Energy awards ceremony in the Burlington hotel on 4th December last, Airtricity were awarded the prestigious Green Energy Award.

Scottish and Southern Energy plc (“SSE”), parent company of Airtricity, has agreed to sell 50% of the equity in Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds Limited (“GGOWL”) to npower renewables, the UK fully owned subsidiary of RWE Innogy. RWE Innogy will also reimburse SSE for 50% of the capital costs already incurred in developing the project. The total cash consideration of the transaction is £308 million.
