Accessibility statement

We have designed this site with accessibility in mind.  This page describes the approach we have taken. If you experience any difficulties while accessing our pages, please contact us describing the issues experienced and we will endeavor to resolve them.

Accessibility standards

This website was designed to be fully WCAG Priority 2 Compliant.

All pages on this site use structured semantic HTML markup, allowing for consistent styling and increased usability for users of assistive technologies.  All pages should validate as HTML 4.01 transitional, however as this is a regularly updated site this may not always be the case.

Page rendering

This site uses cascading style sheets (CSS) for visual layout.  If viewing this website in an older or unsupported browser, disabling CSS may improve your experience.  Please view your browser’s help documentation for more information.

Browsers

The pages within this website have been verified to render as expected in the following browsers

Internet Explorer 5.5, 6.0 (Windows)
Firefox (all platforms)
Netscape versions 7.1+

The content contained within this website can be accessible by all users, albeit minus styling.

Text sizing

To increase usability for all users, this website allows the user to increase or decrease the size of all text through their browser.  You can access your browsers font size settings through the ‘View’ menu in most cases, however this varies from browser to browser.  Please check your browser’s documentation for further information.

Images

All images used on this website include descriptive alternative text where necessary.  If the image is purely decorative, then an empty alt attribute will be applied (“”).

Client-side scripting

A small amount of JavaScript has been used to offer supplementary services to the user, such as filtering drop down lists for search purposes and presenting the print dialog.  However, in the event of JavaScript being disabled or not supported by your browser these services are still accessible.

Further information

If you require further information on our accessibility practices, or are experiencing difficulties, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Plug-ins

This site utilises Macromedia Flash to display the Clyde Waterfront interactive map, if you cannot view the map you can download the player from the Macromedia website.  Additionally, all content contained within the interactive map can be accessed via alternative routes.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership of the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City Council, Renfrewshire Council and West Dunbartonshire Council.
